In a season full of enjoying food and expressing gratitude, it’s important to remember that 40 million people struggle with hunger in the United States. In the spirit of giving, here are 4 ways to give back this holiday season and help people facing hunger.

Set up a Donation Box

Organize a donation box for food or toys in your office, kid’s classroom, or household. Use this list of items that food banks need the most as a reference point.

Volunteer

Over half of all soup kitchens, food pantries, and meal programs rely solely on volunteers. Find your local food bank using this locator and give your time. And while the holidays often mean more volunteers, it’s highly impactful to make a plan now to volunteer later, when food banks need the extra hands. For an easy way to organize a volunteer day, check out our guide.

Give a Gift With Meaning

You can donate to Feeding America® on behalf of a loved one. Or, simply attach one of these Brandless gift tags to any present this holiday season. When you share a photo on social media using #givingisbrandless, we’ll donate a meal to someone facing hunger through our partnership with Feeding America®. Plus, we donate a meal for every order on brandless.com.

Share Online

Use the internet to spark good actions and promote positivity by sharing online. You can share your experience volunteering or share hunger statistics to increase awareness about the issue of hunger.
